Tracing alumni – October 2012

Since 1958 the UK government has supported more than 22,000 scholars and fellows from across the Commonwealth. The CSC formally started its alumni association in 2000, and since then much of our work has focused on tracing alumni who held their scholarship or fellowship before the alumni association was founded.

With the growing predominance of social media and networking, we know that many of you could be in touch with former Commonwealth Scholars or Fellows who are not alumni members. There is now a dedicated member of the alumni team co-ordinating alumni tracing, Sainabou Taal, and you can email if you can help in our tracing activity:

  • If you are at a university, ask your registry or HR department put an item on your staff intranet
  • Ask former award holders to get in contact with the CSC alumni office

Sainabou has recently been undertaking tracing focusing on several countries, and she would like to hear from you if you know of any alumni on the country lists below (please note these are lists of those who have held a CSC award with the year, as it appears in the register of the online Directory that is available on the CSC website). Even if you are not in contact with those listed, but can inform us of any recent career activity or country location, please get in touch with Sainabou.

(Please contact us if you have information on those who are not alumni members and who are NOT marked as traced.)
