Development Training Programme 2019-2020

Background

Development Training is a key part of the Commonwealth Scholarship award. The CSC aims to equip Commonwealth Scholars with the skills to effect real development impact on their return home as well as create a community of motivated Commonwealth Scholars through this programme.

Application criteria

Scholars will be required to submit a Development Impact Plan/Strategyalong with their application should they wish to apply for any of the sessions.

Spaces will be offered on the basis of the development impact plan and application question answers, which will be scored based on the level of relevance and detail supplied as well as capacity limit per session.

Priority will be given to Scholars who have previously registered interest.

Please see a list of workshops available for this year’s programme and click on the link to register interest.

Register interest

Scholars will be given the opportunity to attend ONE workshop during the year that is most suitable to their course, development impact and professional/personal development.

There will also be an opportunity for training to be hosted in different regions in the UK should there be interest. See a list of Universities by regions for reference.

Due to the limited number of sessions and limited spaces offered within a session, Scholars will be required to register interest for the workshop they wish to attend for their application to be considered when the application process opens.

The deadline to register your interest in a course is 10.00am Tuesday 7 January 2020.

Application form to register your interest is now CLOSED.
