Commonwealth Day 2016

All Day

Commonwealth Day is an annual celebration of the Commonwealth held on the second Monday in March. The theme of this year’s Commonwealth Day is ‘An Inclusive Commonwealth’, which invites citizens to consider what it means to live in a diverse yet equitable, fair and tolerant international community.

This year Commonwealth Day is on Monday 14 March and is celebrated with the UK’s largest multi-faith service at Westminster Abbey. The aim of the service is to celebrate the unity, diversity and linkages of the modern Commonwealth and gain a greater understanding of the Commonwealth’s achievements and role.
